I’m not so sure, a club’s player registration and the squad registration are two different things

Golding could be a back up player?
 
Is this one of those players for the future? FFS you couldn’t make it up the only signing for OUFC in the summer window is crocked for most of the season
 
Would his wage be covered by insurance or isn't that a thing? Seen it mentioned in the past but don't know if it actually is a thing.

Gutting for him though and the club, wish him a full and quick recovery.

This has to be the chance for him to push his way into the 1st team squad. He needs to step forward for his own career as much as anything. Even if he doesn't become a regular but becomes a regular sub/back up then he could improve his chances of a good move elsewhere.

All clubs have some kind of insurance I’m fairly sure.

Or it could be that it doesn’t start until a certain date.

You’d like to think as soon as he signs on the dotted line you’d take out that insurance premium, same as you do when you go on holiday (well, sensible people anyway) 😂

Yes, his wages and medical expenses would be covered by insurance - both the club's and the PFA's

When he got relegated last time he came to us. Dont know who else was interested but if he chose us then cant imagine too many were banging at his door. Potentially even less suitors now hes a bit older.

Unfortunately it’s not his fault we’re under an embargo and can’t register him, regardless of whether he’s injured or not. We signed him, he’s got a Contract of Employment with us, we have to honour it. Just goes to show the SMT really had no clue this embargo was coming, even a few weeks ago when he signed, because surely even the most incompetent SMT wouldn’t sign a fella to a contract knowing we couldn’t utilise him for at least 6 months.
 
Crazy to think, between Findlay and Kent, we might have a CB on our wage bill that won’t have played a minute for us, for about 5 seasons in a row

Helik came to us in the Jan after the relegation so we may see him here until Christmas. Tbh, I don’t think he’ll have as many admirers after this season.

He scored once from memory. In the last season he was relegated from the Championship he scored nine goals. Had he scored a few more this season then I think there would be more interest. Let’s be honest, he’s decent enough defensively, but without his goals, there are plenty of other CBs out there that a Championship club could go for.
