Travel Football Special Bus (OX2/OX3/OX7)

Have only found out today that the OX5 from Bicester stops outside Oxford Parkway. Currently I catch the train to Parkway and then get on the OX7, but it would be much more efficient for me to catch the OX5 as it heads straight up the bypass at the Cutteslowe roundabout. However, there's no indication on the timetable as to what time I should expect to catch it.

Anybody know when it is roughly due to arrive at Oxford Parkway?

Personally, I'd get there 10 mins after the departure time from Bicester Park and Ride.

It's worth noting that it isn't a scheduled stop, the last stop before the Kassam is officially Bicester Park and Ride but the driver is a good old boy and if you have an OUFC item on and stick you hand out he'll probably stop as he stops for someone occasionally on Bicester Road in Kidlington but it's not guaranteed.

Thanks both, and yes, 10mins after the Bicester P&R makes sense to be sure I don't miss it, thanks. I'll get the yellow & blue scarf out and give it a go soon, maybe for the Pompey match!

I usually drive to, and park at the Kassam stadium, however on the morning of the Watford match I’m meeting some friends in Oxford City centre.

Looking at the timetable I can get a no 3A bus from Westgate.
Is this a good option? Wondering how busy it gets, and where it picks up after the game and how often?

Or is just best to get a taxi?

Thanks in advance.

If i get the train into Oxford I just walk round to St Aldates and get the bus to BBL and walk through, always plenty of buses.

If youre getting a bus get on one from town to Blackbird Leys and walk through to the breeze block - though they tend to be very slow ( mainly due to Cowley Rd LTNs), they are fairly frequent- I think both Oxford Bus Company and Stagecoach run buses from town to Blackbird leys- Buses that go to Grenoble rd Stadium are one every half hour

Personally, I'd say the 3a is the better option because it's way quicker. Never too busy when leaving Westgate, can always get a seat. obviously gets busier as it pootles along.

I rarely catch it after the game though, usually go for the 1 or 5 from the nearest stop in Blackbird Leys. Can be awfully slow - I remember once sitting on a bus for 20 minutes before we even left!

Apparently its taking an hour to get from one side of witney to the other because of roadworks if getting the OX3 might be better getting alternative transport if you can.

I caught the OX5 from Bicester yesterday and hailed it outside Oxford Parkway fine. Would be good to add Parkway, and/or Harefields to the timing stops on the official flyer for next season.
