Fine, but why phrase it as "within" 7 days. They should've either said "around one week" or given today's date.

Their next deadline is just as vague:
  • Before the start of the season, selections shall be made in respect of all matches scheduled to be played prior to the end of the third round of the FA Cup (January 2024).
They should give a date and a time, just like fixture releases, cup draws, etc.

Well if they're releasing them today, they've clearly picked them comfortably within the timeframe.
The two parties will have decided on a 1pm release. They'll be sat in draft form on the various websites/social media with a publish action set for 13:00.
Much like when we've signed a player, and start doing the xx:30 and xx:45 teaser tweets ahead of a xx:00 announcement.

Why 1pm, and not 9am, who knows. Does the extra 4 hours actually have any impact on anything?

OUT NOW:

Coventry away now Friday 16th Aug 8pm
Stoke home now 1230 on 14th Sept.

"United’s opening game at home to Norwich City was selected for Sky Sports with a 12.30pm kick-off on Saturday, 10th August, and we have now been picked on two further occasions." - ALL matches on on Sky!

Don't mind Coventry on a Friday night personally as it'll be easier to get a ticket and it's one of the few grounds I can get back from after an evening game.

However, last train to Oxford is 10.26pm from the main Coventry station, just about doable after a 7.45pm kick off. 8pm kick off fucks it unless you leave early or have a very quick taxi driver.

I'd look at booking an Uber from Coventry's stadium to the main stadium. Get them to pick you up in the retail park perhaps?

Bit of a bummer, it's my local away game and was looking forward to a few beers in the city beforehand.

due to train cancellations after the last game (after a few beers) a group of 4 of us got an Uber back to Oxford and somehow only cost about £25-£30 each.

Coventry away now Friday 16 August 8pm Ko. On Sky.
Stoke home Saturday 14 September now 12.30 pm Ko also on Sky

I was about to say we can start booking train tickets for Blackburn and Bristol City away.
Although of course we don't yet know how away tickets will be allocated, both of these clubs have around 4000 away seats so should be fine.

So far then, Sky Sports have moved EFL Weekends games scheduled for 3pm Saturday to:

- Thursday nights (20:00)
- Friday nights (20:00)
- Saturday Lunchtime (12:30)
- Sunday (Various KO times between 12:00-15:00)
- Monday night (20:00)

So our Saturday fixtures currently penciled in from October onwards can moved to any of the above TV slots when chosen to be shown by SkySports.

With 17 games already confirmed to be televised - up to 7 more Weekend League games currently scheduled on Saturday can to be televised on Sky Sports as well if they commit to showing up to 24 games per club in the Championship next season.

That is an average of 1 x Weekend game per month for rest of the season will be shown live on SkySports.

For October to December, surely the game against Portsmouth on 5th October will be televised for obvious reasons, maybe the Watford game in November due to locality and Leeds in December cause Sky love to choose Leeds games!

Probably not the right thread but ........... does anyone know if Radio Ox match commentaries will be available back online next season now that iplayer won't have it? I live outside the range for listening on a radio and used to use iplayer for away games I couldn't get to. I haven't got Sky and won't be paying them a cent.

Clubs are having an alternative platform to iFollow apparently - I assume the OUTV is the beginning of this and I'd assume audio commentary will remain part of it.

Didn't want to start a 'matchday thread' so though here might be OK.

Given that we are playing tonight at Oxford City, is there any coverage of it at all anywhere? I can't get there tonight, so thought I might be able to at least listen to it on RadOx, but there is barely a mention of the game on the OWS (certainly no details since it was announced - the last news update was the signing of Placheta on the 15th) and the City website doesn't mention any live coverage.

Knew I had seen something somewhere!
