When are these normally announced? Wonder if being promoted will have any effect on these or they are pretty much already sorted?
Was the first week of June last year, but imagine late tweaks might be needed this time. Hopefully still next week.

I doubt we will ever play Swindon in a pre season game, the police charges will be to much.

I wouldn’t expect anything to out of the ordinary, the usual localish away games to non league opponents after a warm weather training camp somewhere in Spain, now we are in the championship the options for glamour home games are reduced to prem clubs or foreign opponents, but any of the bigger clubs get paid big bucks to go abroad now so it’s tricky.

We could send our kids to play their first team though, that's the sort of fixture that usually happens when there's two leagues apart;):)

I'd guess we'll end up playing either the likes of Fulham/Palace/Brentford or Rovers/Charlton/Orient as our main tune-ups (as well as the usual range of local non-league games). Maybe one from each bucket?

Though I'm wondering at what point in the club's journey are we going to end up on a pre-season Indonesia tour? It's surely coming at some point!

Can’t see you being far wrong with the home fixtures, perhaps an away to Solihull Moors, Barnet or Aldershot alongside the local games.

Glad we are still to small to get dragged off to Jakarta this summer, a mundane pre season will prepare us better for what is going to be a tough season, a good start could be the difference between staying up or going down.

I'd love a return to Rangers, that was one of the best away weekenders ever even allowing for the trashing we got

I'd like to play them at home but Rangers would want 12000 tickets 🤣🤣🤣

And seriously what a market. A lot of folks don’t realise that Indonesia is the fourth biggest country in the world.

Now we're Championship, I wonder if we'll be able to attract a team from the continent to play us at The Kassam in pre-season. Would be a nice change and something to help us to acclimatise to European football in a few seasons.

Have we ever played an overseas team at The Kassam?

Yes indeed. Wouldn't surprise me at all to get a Spanish team at ours. A nice holiday for them as well and a chance to do some cold weather training.

Think it'll be either Leicester or Ipswich for the Prem team.

I’m so glad we don’t have to hear the rubbish about ‘red zones’ that he used to sprout in pre-season any more. It’s no coincidence that we used to get so many injuries, the Sports Science was atrocious
Amy Cranston was saying on The Dub that our Sports Science/Medical team started working together in some different ways a few months ago, which is what led to reduced injuries towards the end of the season. I hope that continues across preseason and we can get ourselves a strong core of players with minimal injury issues next season.
