Matches Fixtures Amended

Theres 6, not just this one

Well spotted. That'll teach me not to scroll:

Portsmouth (a) - 5/10/24 moved to 12.30pm
WBA (H) - 19/10/24 moved to 12.30pm
Swansea (H) - 2/11/24 moved to 12.30pm
Watford (a) - moved to Friday 8th Nov at 8pm
Millwall (H) - 30/11/24 moved to 12.30pm
Millwall (a) -1/1/25 moved to 1pm

Does anyone know why we haven’t got a fixture on Saturday 17th November? Not sure if it was related to internationals or FA Cup, but cannot see anything relating to these two possibilities.

I believe it's the internationals but the fixtures are spread over a number of days.

As we are in 3rd round of FA Cup, we don't need to worry about moving those fixtures until January.

Makes the away membership an even less attractive proposition. We haven't reached Christmas and it feels like two thirds of our fixtures have been changed already. I can live with 12:30 home fixtures but I don't want to see too many away ones moved to an 8pm. Coventry and Watford away are two games that are going to be a real struggle to get to now.

Not bad to be fair considering more could have been moved to a Friday night, Sunday OR Monday evening.

At least Watford and Coventry at 8pm on a Friday night is not too far to travel!

50% of our HOME weekend fixtures are moved to 12:30pm on Saturday (5 out of 10 games).

Probably being stupid but is that all the fixtures that are being changed up until the 3rd round a cup …, if so when do we find out the next batch and will that be until the end of the season
All broadcast-selected Sky Bet EFL matches for the period up to the FA Cup Third Round, the weekend of 11/12 January 2025.

By November, selections shall be made in respect of all matches to be played between the end of the Third Round Proper of the FA Cup and the first weekend of March.

thank you… in that gap we have 4 home games I could probably see all 4 being moved

too hot and too lazy to spend 10 mins or so working it all out- and don't respect any updates re fixtures on OWS for a week or so... does anyone know how many Saturday 3pm kick off matches we actually have between now and Fa Cup 3rd round?
I think I worked out 5
Preston
Burnley
Middlesbrough
Sheffield Wednesday
Cardiff

Edit; mine are all home fixtures 😁

Not sure how up to date my record is, but the following are still Saturday 3pm as far as I can tell:

Away v Blackburn 24/8
Home v Preston 31/8
Away v Bristol City 21/9
Home v Burnley 28/9
Away v Sunderland 26/10
Home v Middlesbrough 23/11
Away v Plymouth 7/12
Home v Sheff Wed 14/12
Away v Leeds 21/12
Away v Preston 4/1

Dammit there's a direct train from my village to Watford Junction but the last one back leaves at 10.05pm. Why can't they be 7.45pm kick offs... the extra 15 minutes always fucks my journey up. Happened with Reading last season as well and will do if Derby away is 8pm (we don't know yet).

I don’t actually hate the 12:30 KO games. It’s still Saturday, I personally am an early riser anyway, and I don’t dislike occasionally having more of my Saturday afternoon after football available.

Watford away on a Friday night is kind of a downer. Was really looking forward to that one and not sure I’ll be able to make it now. But as others have said that’s the deal with being a Championship club, particularly under this dreadful (for live match-going fans) new deal.

The fact that most of our ‘moves’ are still on Saturday actually has me feeling like it could be worse in all honesty!

These 12.30 Saturday kick-offs are obviously not great for away supporters, or for exiled fans such as myself. I live just under 95 miles from the ground, with a journey from my home in east Cambridge generally taking just over two hours. When one factors in the need to get to the ground in good time to find a decent parking space either in the club car park or along the road, I’ll have to leave home really, really early.

I’m sure it’ll sometimes be tempting to stay at home to watch Saturday lunchtime games on TV, but then what’s the point of buying a season ticket? I rarely travel to midweek home games nowadays unless I’m staying in the hotel afterwards.

Thank you, that’s what I thought re; FA Cup e.g. 3rd round, but don’t believe the 16th November, is an FA Cup round weekend anyway.

Personally I quite like the 12.30 kick offs. It means once the game's finished you've still got most of Saturday to do all sorts of interesting things (like go down the pub or, if it coincides, pop over to watch Oxford City).
I particularly like the Swansea and Millwall ones on 2nd Nov and 30th Nov, as I prefer games that finish in daylight.
