Oxford United will start the much-anticipated 2024/25 EFL Championship season with a home tie against Norwich City.

TV fixtures up until the end of September will be confirmed in the next 7 days.
TV fixtures up until the FA Cup 3rd round weekend (January 11th/12th) will be confirmed by the start of the season.
TV fixtures between FA Cup 3rd round weekend and the end of March will be confirmed by November 1st.

Isn’t that because they are showing every game from all three divisions so spreading them out across (mostly) 3 different times? Although I do think we will be kicking off at 12.30pm fairly regularly, which I don’t mind to much.

I really don't like 12:30 kickoffs, the players never seem up for it in quite the same way.
If not 3pm ko, then 5:30pm is far better.

All of the L1 games I think are early evening games so only L2 are at 3.

Not on when the prem don’t play, same on international weekends as well, although that doesn’t effect us now.

How many Arsenal fans who watch in the pub go to FL/NL games though? Those sort of people have no interest in football outside of the big six anyway, won’t watch Brentford vs Brighton on the tv let alone go to Oxford vs Preston so I agree with you, it’s pointless.

Everyone will be on TV 20 times minimum. In Championship that goes up to 24 minimum. So on average 7 out of 12 games in each round of fixtures will be on telly. That first weekend 4 games are on Friday night across the EFL with 2 in Championship. I think Friday night is going to be a regular slot as well as Saturday and Sunday lunchtimes.

It will be interesting to see how they divide the games up. We will get some idea next week when the first batch come out. Sevem league games and at least one Carabao Cup match before October. So expect us to be on TV 4 times by then.

Yes I agree. 7 out of every 12 would be silly with only 5 kick offs at 3pm. That doesn't work.
8 out of 30 isn’t so bad as long as it's not a long trip for the away fans for a 1230 kick off. I can see that fans will treasure the 3pm Saturday games home and away even more in the future whereas with some midweek ones it will be interesting to see how many fans actually turn up. I was disappointed to see however that we won't actually be going to Stoke on a Tuesday night.

Currently three Championship games live on Sky Sports in the opening months of the season:

12.30pm Saturday, 10th August, Norwich City (H)

8pm Friday, 16th August, Coventry City (A)

12.30pm Saturday, 14th September, Stoke City (H)

Sky Sports’ selections are up until the end of September, with all fixtures thereafter still subject to change for TV.

I knew it would the case this season but all these fixtures changing it’s making it bloody difficult to plan work and other arrangements if we change from a Saturday afternoon to a Friday/saturday night it’s driving me potty
