Just read that Rodri was born on the day that England beat Spain in Euro 96. Which was also the last time we played them in a proper competitive fixture.
As well as making me feel really freakin' old......this is surely another omen that Spain are doomed? Is there any real point in them showing up?

The Gods have been with us, itโs our year. Iโve noticed Spain tire after an hour and have very few impact players on the bench. If we can keep the score close with half an hour to go and make good changes(!), I think weโll overpower them.
Their two outlets are the wingers, one of which will be up against arguably the best right back defensively in the world, but I do worry about Yamal. I wouldnโt go with Shaw, he will get booked within 10 minutes and give us a real problem. They will go for it and as we saw for half an hour against the Dutch, thatโll give us opportunities.
I just have that feeling we will give them a problem they havenโt faced yet and weโre a tough nut to crack mentally. I fancy Bellingham to shine - heโs a game away from the Ballon Dโor in my view.

A rerun of the Lionnesses final I reckon and a game that appears to be a narrow 1-0 to Spain but actually a fair result.

Well I still feel we should target Rodri. He is one of their key players. We have three teammates of his in our team they will know his weaknesses. Mainoo Foden Bellingham and Saka should set their sights to dribble round him to get him booked and then see what happens. 3-1.
Iโm looking at this in the same way I saw the playoff final.

We werenโt as bad as people were saying in the qualifying stages, and we werenโt as good as people were saying against the Dutch.
Spain are easily the best team in the tournament, they should win comfortably.

now that would be good to see , England players running at at taking on opposing players, there's not been much of that in this tournament from England

Must admit think we have been pretty desperate for the first four games (apart from around 30 mins ) and fortune forced us into a change of formation which suits us better, still didn't exactly shine against the Swiss but upped it against the Dutch .

As pointed out, he has only one penalty and that was right in the bottom corner at a crucial time in the semi. If his only contribution tomorrow is a 80th min penalty that see's us win by one goal, then I'll be very happy!
kane is playing well, the problem is he just cant seem to get the ball passed to him. it just keeps getting pushed out to the wings for saka, where he scores if hes in form, or just backs himself into a corner

It hasnโt been easy for Kane, whether thatโs because he has dropped to deep or not been getting the service, but itโs a brave man who drops your record goalscorer, captain and joint tournament top goalscorer for the final. Donโt think he needs to play the whole game though, let him get his hat trick and then he can come off on 60 minutes.
