Aaaahhhhhhhhhh!
Still going to watch though.

Probably the biggest audience to ever watch a conference game.

Which is probably the reason why they didn’t suspend the league.

League game Id agree

there have been a couple of conference play off finals = that attracted a 'few' spectators in the past 10 years or so

Yeah does look like a bit of a cash grab doesn't it. Money > people's lives. As per usual.

Really? Money v peoples lives us a bit harsh.
People attending football, in small numbers could just as easily gone to Tesco and given/ caught the virus.

Love The Shay. Proper old school ground. Would love it if our ground was designed like that.

The southern league cancelled all games on Friday. The conference are greedy and clueless! All they care about is their ‘brand’ - look at the way they treated us in 2008 with the fax points deduction.

I think you’re missing the point. If everybody in attendance at today’s Conference games comes through unscathed then haven’t their league sort of proved a point ? More danger of catching Coronavirus out in Oxford today - in a pub, at the cinema, at the theatre or in a shopping centre.

The stands were virtually empty at The Shay, certainly less dense than whats going on in a city centre. I applaud The Conference’s robust approach to not following the rest and a closure of sparse attendances like that would be snow flakery gone mad. You may as well close down the corner shop if this level of football is deemed a serious risk to public health.
