How about Lincoln (a) 2019?
This game produced my favourite YouTube video ever…. Warning NSFW!Swindon away. 2-1 win Sercombe and Hall with a cracker. Then at the end their keeper getting sent off.
Loved it when a couple of their inbreds ran on to the pitch and ran towards over 2,000 Oxford, as they got closer they got slower and slower, enabling the stewards plenty of time to grab them.

I'm surprised there's no mention of the 6-0 win at Lincoln or the 7-2 win at Gillingham. Both mad games and thoroughly enjoyableDifficult to argue with that top ten.
3 from the Wilder years, 5 from Appleton, 2 from Buckingham. Our 3 most successful managers since 2010.

Charlton 2-3 Oxford (2018) was also included in the notable mentions. Personally I'd have put it in the top 10.![]()

Some of the other games in the list were excellent results in isolation but not indicative of wider success (4-1 at Pompey, some of the Swindon wins...)Excellent results in isolation, but I just think fans have a greater fondness and memory for matches in a period where the team was successful and actually achieved something.
There weren't many away fans at Lincoln or Gills compared to the games that made the top 10. Must've been around 2k at the scum games. That Pompey game was 2.5k or 3k depending on whether you believe the official attendance or not! Just looked up Lincoln and Gillingham and it was mid-600's at both, so that lowers the votes considerably (I don't think either were televised). Some of the other games in the list were excellent results in isolation but not indicative of wider success (4-1 at Pompey, some of the Swindon wins...)

My son was mascot that day too. It was 90 minutes of some of the worst football seen at the Kassam since 2010 (bottom two teams in League 1 playing in a full on gale) and then 3 minutes of madness whilst they missed, Easty took the goal kick, we missed, then scored and the chaos for the next few minutes with one linesman disallowing it, the other one adamant that it was within the laws and the ref seeming not to have a clue.16 March 2019 - OUFC v Bradford
"Whyte into the penalty area. The shot is blocked. It breaks to Mackie..."
And then it was like the VAR decision before the VAR was introduced elsewhere.
The goal was disputed because there was a question of Bradford being awarded a penalty for an incident just before we broke upfield to score, as I recall. So even more of a sliding doors moment. My son was mascot that day too. That was a proper sliding doors moment too. If Bradford had scored the absolute sitter they missed I believe they would have gone above us and we'd have been bottom of league 1 in mid-March and at least four points off safety. Bradford went down that season and are still in League 2 now.

I might be wrong, but I think that the lino on the North Stand side (our left back side) had flagged to say that Eastwood's goal kick should be re-taken as there were still Bradford players in the box when he took it. The other lino (South Stand other end of the pitch) then told the ref that law had been changed to allow quickly taken goal kicks. The goal was disputed because there was a question of Bradford being awarded a penalty for an incident just before we broke upfield to score, as I recall. Close, but it wasn't the presence of Bradford players in the area but Josh Ruffels controlled the pass from Easty while the ball was still inside the penalty area, the first season that was allowedI might be wrong, but I think that the lino on the North Stand side (our left back side) had flagged to say that Eastwood's goal kick should be re-taken as there were still Bradford players in the box when he took it. They did claim a pen for when their player missed the chance, but the ball went out for a goal kick, so the lino would have had to have flagged for a pen before the goalkick was taken.
Not sure the term "watershed" should ever be applied to CarlisleCarlisle away was a watershed game
Didn't they go up with Doncaster? My son was mascot that day too. Yeah, scored a winner in about the 8th minute of stoppage time at the end of their last game of the season to grab a promotion place at the expense of Walsall.Didn't they go up with Doncaster?
I think he controlled it (or officials said) just outside the box, as I don't think that law changed until 1 July 2019 (so start of the following season).Close, but it wasn't the presence of Bradford players in the area but Josh Ruffels controlled the pass from Easty while the ball was still inside the penalty area, the first season that was allowed
Sorry, yes... I forgot the season has finished!!! I swear I have dementia, can remember 2019 fine, but not this month!! :ODidn't they go up with Doncaster?
