Fan's View FAN’S VIEW: 24/25 – No.50: SWANSEA AWAY

Have a great summer, and thanks for the time and effort that you’ve put into FV over the years, always a good read. 👏🏻👏🏻All being well see you in SSU in late summer.

Thank you again for your excellent FVs- enjoy them like every season.

How long have you been writing them?

I will miss the programme if what is rumoured is true ( and suspect that a lot of people who buy 50/50 tickets as well will be less inclined to do so if they dont have to queue for the programme).

Will also miss this if you dont carry on ( but do appreciate that it must be difficult to motivate yourself after long journeys like Hull away!

Enjoy the break

Thanks for this one, and all the Fans Views over the years Paul.

I thoroughly enjoy reading them, but as someone that only had one season doing the financial reports for you, I know exactly how much work it takes, and how disciplined you have to be when other family members might want you to be doing something else, especially having already been away all day on matchdawy.

Would love it if you carry on, but completely understand if you don't.

Thank you Paul. When I was a kid my dad used to shoot off and get a pink ‘un or a green ‘un whenever he could after a game. I can’t exactly remember what or where he got them, the memory is quite vague. But I get it now, reading your thoughts after each game has become a routine. Please don’t stop.

Yes, I'd like to add my heart-felt thanks, too! Your reports, Paul, are really the only ones worth reading.

Incidentally, one of the friends to whom I send each and every one of your reports is the editor of a journal (in the area of family psychology), and he recently told me that he considers your writing to be absolutely top class. He's right, too!

I'll also understand if you decide to call it a day, but you probably have no idea just how much you'll upset so many people, all around the world!

Paul - your fan views are for me, and I’m sure many many others, part of the fabric of the post match footballing week (catching up on “Wasn’t at the game” - Listening to “The Dub” - reading “Fans view”). Thanks for your continued efforts in keeping your quality reports going, I hope you decide to keep them going next season. Either way, hope to bump into you pre match next season and you’ll let me buy you a pint if our real ale paths cross at an away game.

Echo all the thanks for another great season of Fan's View, Paul.

To offer an unsolicited suggestion - you could consider halving the work by just doing away games?

As an exile, what I love the best about FV is your description of the whole day - the journey, the ground, the pubs, the beer, the interactions with away fans. It's one of the things I miss most with living 4,000 miles away, so really appreciate the opportunity to live it vicariously through you! (and one of the other things I miss most - real ale. Or at least real ale that's brewed by someone else.......)

Home games? It's still fun to read your opinions. But I know what a trip to the Kasstad is like, and I've likely watched the game on the telly, so I've already got strong opinions of my own. I can live with just arguing with people on the matchday thread........

Thanks Paul brilliant input much appreciated. We can all have a relaxing few months and return refreshed in August COYY!

"all we are saying... is Fan's View must stay..."

Entirely up to you Paulof course and if it feels too much of a chore you should stop, but want you to know how much pleasure you've given us over the years

Can I add the many thanks to you for all the FVs this season. I appreciate the effort required to write these especially after a bad loss.
They are an essential read as part of the football weekend.
