I agree about the shirt pulling Paul. Although I would say they were equally to blame from what I could see. Their number 9 was all over several of our players at corners at the East Stand end right in front of me.
In isolation as you say it was a penalty but Mr Simpson let exactly the same stuff go several times previously for both teams. Either deal with it or ignore it. He picked on one incident and ignored the rest.

I suspect if I had taken the time I could have found a few incidents when we had a decent claim for a penalty. But given the number of touches each team had in their opponents box and number of corners each had they were always much more likely to get a penalty than us. Could we go a whole season without getting one?

Corners are a particular bugbear of mine. The amount of holding that goes on is ridiculous - and it isn't just shirt pulling, it is bear hugs and pulling players to the floor. All the normal things people would be penalised for are seemingly ignored. And it is getting worse.

As it was down the other end from me, it was difficult to see if the holding (etc) for which the penalty was given was any more egregious than the numerous offences (from both sides) that I saw clearly in the East stand goalmouth! A couple of seasons ago, they started penalising such stuff but - as with many such 'initiatives' - it was soon quietly dropped. I'd quite like it to come back again, and to be persisted with until the cheating stopped.

Kioso in particular is a repeat offender as far as shirt tugging is concerned. He was repeatedly doing it the other week even after he had been booked.

Pin point criticism that echoes in this household. I suspect that many others hold similar views, certainly in the SSU where the murmurings of many are now rising in volume. If we can see the failings, why are they so often repeated?
The squad has been described as at league 1 level but, at the start of the season, and again following Rowett's appointment, they were picking up points. Why then, the down turn? Why the fall in standards? We have to hope that things are turned around quickly because, as pointed out, other teams below us in the table are picking up more points than us.

Re; their 2nd goal, just feel Cumming got caught in two kinds as he wasn’t sure if it was a back pass which I think it was e.g. Brannagan intended to play it back to Cumming.

Re; penalty, I hadn’t seen the shirt pulling etc, but as others have said, this happens in both boxes in all games, plus the holding/hugging etc, but having seen the replays, their player stops his run with Kioso clumsily running into the back of him which he (Kioso) does quite a lot, hence why I think he’s a liability. Plus he makes over rash/unnecessarily challenges at times in the box/elsewhere in the pitch!
