First time I've been able to face reading a Fan's View for ages. Excellent write-up, and a very enjoyable read.

Thanks, Paul. Same as above - I think you should take it as a massive compliment when I say I haven’t read one of these for a good while; it’s because, in my opinion, your words embody what we as fans hold in our hearts and minds, and we’re often scared of confronting those thoughts.

Your last paragraph could be deemed terrifying, but I feel that we’re suddenly a different animal - one that doesn’t conform to the “old” Oxford, one that is here to aim for the heights, and take a few risks to achieve them.
I bloody hope I’m right.

As a glutton for punishment, and someone who knows how much work goes into it, I always read your Fan's View. Even in defeat, I enjoy them, as a kind of cathartic affirmation of what I'm thinking myself, and sometimes for a slightly different, but well formed, view than my own.

As usual, I agree with most of what you say above. One small caveat though, is that I'm very much Intrigued, but looking forward to, seeing what Gary Rowett and the new recruitment and management team come up with in the transfer window. Three or four of the right signings in January could be transformational, as I don't think there's much between the bottom half of the table at all, so hope we can start looking up soon, rather than over our shoulders. Away points (wins?) needed soon though.
