Fan's View FAN’S VIEW: 24/25 – No.20: SHEFFIELD UNITED AWAY

I’m afraid it was all too easy. The mood around me after the second goal was similar to that at Sunderland. …. It’s going to be a long night.
And so it proved.
We are far inferior in quality to many of the teams we have played (and will play). I’m not looking forward to another long and uncomfortable trip to Leeds on 21st.
Crikey: I’m beginning to sound as pessimistic as Paul.
We will survive this season.
Just.

Not given up yet though - far from it. But the evidence so far can't be argued with.

The team that finishes 4th from bottom over the last 5 seasons have averaged 18 points away from home .We currently have 2 points from a possible 24 .
If away results don't improve quickly we will find ourselves in the bottom 2 .
It appears to me that we are in a mini league with 6 teams around us that we need to take points of home & away. Anything after that I suppose is a bonus .

16 points from 15 away games, so we are going to have to win at least I reckon, which seems a hell of a task after what we have have managed so far.

Great post Paul as usual. I actually think our owners did not expect promotion. Like many fans we thought we would have an enjoyable day at Wembley, give a good account of ourselves and probably be second best to an (arguably) better Bolton side. The result was like a dream for most of us but probably a nightmare for those in Indonesia. I will support our club until I die but I do worry that our owners may very well panic if things go pear-shaped . Money rules everything in life - how much will we need in January?
