Fan's View Fan's View 24/25 - No.1

All very fair comments Paul. I don't know if it's partisan enthusiasm or a balanced opinion but, I fancy us to do ok. Recruitment has been, if nothing else, prolific with, again that maybe partisan opinion, a sprinkling of real insight.
Bring on the season!

Welcome back Paul.
Look forward to reading your fans views this season and hopefully plenty of points to keep us up!

Very much enjoyed your report as ever. As someone "lucky" enough to have seen us play in the top 5 divisions as well I agree it's an exciting and new experience for a large chunk of the fanbase. Still exciting for me due to the quarter of a century gap since we last played at this level.
I am also surprisingly optimistic about our chances this season. Either way it will be a fun ride. Looking forward to another season of reports from you too.

I too was on that solitary coach to Huddersfield Town that day. I remember the coach parking up and looking down at Leeds Road which was a big old ground.

It was Billy Hamilton’s debut and he was up against big Sam Allardyce and we ended up winning at a canter. One of the goals was an O.G

I vividly remember the huge number of Nottm Forest coaches travelling back from Hillsborough on the M1 that sunny evening.

Can't remember the date (f*cking years ago) but was on a LRC when we went somewhere up north with just 26 of us on it and we all sat on the pavement side of the coach whilst entering the town or City just to make the coach we were on look full to busting lol!

If memory serves the majority on the coach were gurning, vomiting (only joking) and giving it large when passing any of the opposing teams fans whilst heading towards the away end - then we stood on the away terrace in one small huddle and said what the f*ck.

To be fair the 26 of us were well worth the 'pretend' full coach quota adorned in levi sta press, cheap crombies and Falmer jeans!

This is what we did.

We were the Manor boys and girls.

COYY'S.

Great to have a FV as we enter into the new season, thanks Paul.
It is going to be a bumpy helter-skelter ride, that's for sure. I've got feeling one or two Championship clubs are wobbling a bit, due to a few years of overspend on players' wages, changing managers eg Norwich, WBA, not sure what is happening at Sheffield United. There is Cardiff & Swansea on a slow reverse.
I'm confident we can rattle one or two big teams away, a win at Leeds just before Christmas would do very nicely, as would a good performance and 3 points at Bristol City would be very satisfying indeed.
We may take some battering's, even possibly some 4-0 ish defeats at home but a few unexpected wins away, and mixture of draws and wins I feel will see us safe.
Looks like need to book some Friday afternoons off work and set that alarm clock for those damn 12.30pm KO's.
