While I am a bit disappointed about the lack of pre match pub tails
@Paul B i think this bit is vital for all of us to remember:
‘And on a more serious note I’ve got a few football friends who are currently facing challenges that makes the game that consumes us so much seem not that important at all really.’
A defeat might seem bad, it might seem the end of the world but it is a release for us all from the real world. That 90 minutes where you can forget what ever worries you have in life and focus on something else. It is the only sport IMO where you can turn up to a game, no matter where in the country and stand next to someone who is from a completely different walk of life as you, their stress and struggles are different to yours but when we score a goal none of that matters and you are jumping around and hugging them like they are your best mate.
No matter what happens this season, we will all be there next year supporting our club, up and down the country.
