Fan's View FAN’S VIEW 2025/26 –BLACKBURN AWAY

Thanks Paul.
I watched it on TV which does give you a different perspective to watching it live.
Our style of play, technique, quality (whatever you call in) is not getting any better, in fact it is getting worse.
How many times do we fail to make a simple pass to a team mate, hence no constructive flowing football from one end of the pitch to the other and at times, basically, a hoof up field to no one (because we have everyone back for a corner)
Whilst this "point hugging" may just keep us up, my general feeling is we are not progressing as a footballing team, or technically, which we obviously need to do to stay in the Championship long term AND enjoy watching the football served up to us.

An excellent summary of the match. I do wonder how opposition fans view their clubs own position sometimes as we are obviously very Oxford centric. If I was a Blackburn fan watching that very same game I would be pretty worried about my teams future.

Enjoyed very much as ever.

Liked the thoughts on ‘winners’. I always think it’s remarkable how, when watching matches, with 22 men who have devoted their entire lives to football, there’s always that few who stand out as having that extra bit of bite and desire. Brannagan is obviously the consummate example, and I think it’s easier for central defenders and midfielders to demonstrate those qualities, but I agree we seem to be lacking them this year. I think Elliot Moore was one, and I’ve posted before how I think his loss has impacted us more than we might have thought it would at the time. Of the new guard, I think Currie might have the capacity to be considered in that bracket.
