Well, who do we want?
Spurs at home or Fulham or Man U away
Man united
Tottenham
Liverpool
Man City
Arsenal
Chelsea
Any of those away . Have a good day out take the money and concentrate on survival this season
Usually 2 weekends left blank for prem and champ clubs for rds 3 and 4. lets get thro rd 3 then a big one. Spurs , Arsenal away maybe as many will not have been to these grounds. easy to get to, make some money, then bow out. We do not have a large enough squad for a cup run beyond this.
Please please please give us swindon so we can humiliate them in that most awful hours
This is the correct answerEverton away. Last chance to see goodison.
Agree with this, though home would be good regardless. (Especially as I'm intending to go to Preston the previous weekend, so not up for any long away trip.)I think we can simply put the teams into two brackets of good and s**t. Premier league and league two and below good, championship and league one s**t. First group is glamour and not played them very often combined with another group of winnable and not played very often (mostly), second group is playing them this season and hard combined with played loads and still fairly hard.
I think historically we've not been one of the bigger boys when we reach the third round, so there's always that natural clamour for a Premier League tie. However, given we're a Championship side, we have a better chance than ever of getting through to fourth round, fifth round and even quarter finals of the FA Cup, where the likelihood is we'd meet a Premier League side. So I'd say let's hope for a lower league side in the third round, do a professional job of it, bank the prize money and hope for a big draw in the rounds to comeIn two minds about this. From one angle, a cup run is good, canbe lucrative. From another, trip to one of the big boys of the Premier might be fun and, then there is the chance to give that lot up the A420 a say out to forget!
For sure, we'll be watching the draw on Monday evening.
