Ex-Player Ex-Player Thread

Jordan Rhodes gone to Mansfield. A name you always associate with a championship player but he is 34 now.

Bodin signed for Reading on loan

He becomes only the fourth player to play for the triumvirate of Oxford, Reading and Swindon.

Quiz question - who were the other three?

(NB: One was only contracted Swindon and didnā€™t make a first team appearance.)

I was on holiday in Majorca the first week of the season before this one, few Carlisle supporting families in the same hotel, they had just got promoted so were understandably happy while I was pissed off as we lost to Cambridge first game away, we were due to play them the day after I flew back, weird to think that they were the happy ones in our chats yet less than two years later could well be 3 divisions between us. Nice people so I feel bad for them, although not so bad I would swap.
4 divisions*

Conor Ripley to Swindon. Ha ha ha!

"On 27 April 2012, he joined League Two club Oxford United on an emergency loan after both their goalkeepers had suffered injuries. Connor Ripley made his only appearance for Oxford United the next day, in a 2ā€“0 loss to Southend United at the Kassam Stadium. After this, manager Chris Wilder was unhappy with Ripley's performance and decided to terminate his loan spell at the club, replacing him with Emiliano MartĆnez."

One of those goalies went on to win a World Cup and the other plays for Magic Roundabout Town, you canā€™t get much further apart than that.

Anthony Forde has left Wrexham by mutual consent. For all the comments about their Hollywood owners, it is clear they were a major help to him and his family with their recent personal issues.

Indeed, believe he was presented to both sets of fans either at half-time or just before kick-off, as he played for both.
A shame it was after transfer window closed as he could have played up top for the second-half etc etc etc.
