Ex-Player Ex-Player Thread

Oxford City were the victims of 0-5 home thinking in the NLN tonight to Curzon Ashton.

One of the goal scorers (prepare to shudder like a secondary character in the Harry Potter books upon the mention of ‘Voldemort) …

… Isaac Buckley-Ricketts.
Set the 3rd goal up as well.

To be fair to him he had a good game, put a couple of decent crosses in during the 1st half as well.

He didn't look out of place in a very good Curzon Ashton side and as they say he has probably found his level.

Not sure if it was in last night's "other matches", but Sean Clare scored in Leyton Orient's 6-2 thrashing of Exeter.
Makes our FA Cup defeat look a bit feeble. But I'd take our current league position over the 4th round of the FA Cup every time.

Mike Williamson - centre back at Oxford Utd in 2017 - has been sacked by Carlisle.

I was on holiday in Majorca the first week of the season before this one, few Carlisle supporting families in the same hotel, they had just got promoted so were understandably happy while I was pissed off as we lost to Cambridge first game away, we were due to play them the day after I flew back, weird to think that they were the happy ones in our chats yet less than two years later could well be 3 divisions between us. Nice people so I feel bad for them, although not so bad I would swap.

I was also in Majorca... but it was 1962. Missed the first ever Saturday home fixture in the Football League. Hammered Hartlepool United 6 - 2. It has been onward and upward since then!

Slight blip 2006-2010 in the upwards part.
