Jack Stevens played well yesterday for Oldham in their 3-0 home win over Notts Co, before being subbed in the 74th (iirc) minutes.

Instrumental in the 2nd goal with a lovely little pass after Oldham broke from a Notts Co attacking set piece. He didn't do much attacking in the first half as Oldham played into the face of a howling gale, and unsurprisingly for the region pouring rain. Oldham had one shot in the first half and scored from it after a very good solo run by Kane Drummond.

Jodi Jones was pretty ineffectual for Notts Co along with the rest of his team as Oldham's defence nullified them.

Jack Stevens has made a decent career for himself .
He left us 6 years ago! Seems to have worked his way up to the football league and has had a decent first season in the EFL.

Oldham are on a good run at the moment. Might snatch a play-offs place.

Keeper is at Reading.

This Jack Stevens never made a first team appearance during his pro deal in the 20/21 season. Released at the end of that season and worked his way back up the leagues.
I saw the youth team a couple of times when he played.
The Spasov, Lopes team I think (they were thd great hopes but had a lot of injuries?)

Filip Krastev scores a brace for Bulgaria against Solomon Islands in a 10-2 friendly match win. (I mean, who scheduled those two to play each other?)

In other whacky scheduling, Benji Buchel started for the 80th time in Liechtenstein’s 1-0 win over Tanzania on Thursday. The match was played in Rwanda. He becomes Liechtenstein’s 9th most capped player of all time and secured only his fourth clean sheet for his micro-nation.

EDIT. The scheduling is for something called FIFA Series. It’s basically a series of mini-friendly tournaments that sees similarly ranked sides sign up and play a couple of games in one location. I have to say it’s one of FIFA’s better ideas. We can all enjoy some cross federation match ups: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2026_FIFA_Series_(men's_matches)

As for BB, he has a typically BB game. Going walkabout, falling over and then landing a proper good stop towards the end of the match.

Goal machine Tom Bradshaw scores 2 for Barnsley in Yorkshire Derby his 3rd in 2 games

The very negative posters on here who think we will struggle in league one if we get relegated, it’s a league that Bradshaw is scoring goals in, which sums up the drop in standard.

Patrick Hoban still scoring bucket loads in Northern Ireland for Glentoran.

Although he looked mid 30s when with us, he is only 34 now.

As an aside, a 50 year old Jamie Cureton scored yesterday for King's Park Rangers where he is player manager*.

*Assuming the forum with the info is accurate on him scoring.
