Ive mentioned this a few times, everyone seems to have just decided that the Helik/Moore partnership not working was because both are right footed, not because both are among the slowest players in the league

People used to comment that it was a strength of Moore’s that he could play on the left

My opinion was very much based upon their pace (or lack thereof) both in a sprint and on the turn. Demonstrated best in Moore's case by one of Hull's goals earlier this season.

The one by Briggsy was a mere love tap. You should have seen what he did to Doug Rougvie. Everyone there that day knows that a man can indeed fly.

Think it was the league game at The Manor in 85/6. Rougvie had been giving it large in the press during the buildup saying Briggs and Shotton were hard men in Div 2, but they were in Div 1 now 🤣
