They are/were on international duty weren’t they?
A player we should be looking to sign.Danny Hylton released by Charlton![]()
A player we should be looking to sign.
As a coach, most certainly, I’d agree.A player we should be looking to sign.
I was just continuing the glamour of signing ex players who did well for us in our league 2 promotion.I'm assuming that's a Whoosh, unless you want him as a coach or mascot.
Signing 36 year old strikers who have scored five goals total in the past six seasons is not an obvious route to success, however good they were a decade ago!
Yes but it’s Danny f’ing Hylton!!I'm assuming that's a Whoosh, unless you want him as a coach or mascot.

Love the idea of Hylt’s coaching style. As a coach, most certainly, I’d agree.
Beyond accurateBasically just run around like a dog on a beach
Beyond accurate
There were goals he scored where he genuinely seemed confused how it had happened.
You haven’t a clue have you?Love the idea of Hylt’s coaching style.
“Basically just run around like a dog on a beach, be a 100% shithouse, score lots of goals and always keep the combover under control.”
I think you have taken @MJB post a bit too seriously. You haven’t a clue have you?
He’s been Charlton’s striker coach & player liaison officer all season and their fans are saying he made the difference between them getting promoted and another season in League 1.
My favourite thing about Danny Hylton is when he appeared to be devoid of energy and totally knackered and then produced a run out of nowhere.Love the idea of Hylt’s coaching style.

Absolutely - not just a great player to watch (despite, as you say, him often looking knackered with his socks down by his ankles before immediately setting off on a lung-buster), but a great character. My favourite thing about Danny Hylton is when he appeared to be devoid of energy and totally knackered and then produced a run out of nowhere.
I'm still sad he signed for Luton. Would have loved to watch him for a few more years.

That last sentence is so true. Was like a player from another era.He used to look absolutely fucked walking in the pitch at the start but then would cover a ridiculous amount of ground, I used to enjoy having a tireless workhorse who looked like he had just turned up for a Sunday league game with a hangover, real throwback player.
Was signed by Gary Waddock right? Or am I misremembering? That was a grim few months.I don't remember there being much excitement when we signed him (i could be wrong) but he turned out to be a real gem.
I think he was Waddocks only signing. Was signed by Gary Waddock right? Or am I misremembering? That was a grim few months.
Pretty sure we only offered him one more year, and his kid was going to a new school, so he would not accept any less than 2.My favourite thing about Danny Hylton is when he appeared to be devoid of energy and totally knackered and then produced a run out of nowhere.

Not much excitement is an understatement! And I include myself in that. There was not a lot in his track record plus he had been in a bit of bother for language that, let’s say, Nigel Farage would wince at.That last sentence is so true. Was like a player from another era.

Still a bit of a fan favourite I'd say
Both are availableDanny Hylton and Chris Maguire.
Probably the best two sh*thousers we have ever had.
