Ricky Holmes departs as player-coach at Farnborough FC (last week's news). Didn't realise he was still playing.

Anyone know what goal keeper extraordinaire Paul Kee is up to these days?

Mad as a box of frogs from memory! :ROFLMAO:

Sad to hear the death of Colin Booth, so very sad. Wonderful little player in the short time at the club.

Was very fortunate to play in the same side as Colin Booth a couple of times.
He was so much better than anyone on the pitch. When the Referee pulled him up. asked the referee to do him a favour and send him off.

Colin was my first goal scoring hero when I was a nipper.
My first match was against Bradford City Feb 65, Colin scored 2 in a 3-1 win. My Dad (RIP) took me to every game after that. It was goals galore that season. Colin with 23 from 48 games. Bill Calder 16 in 27, John Fahy 10 in 12 Graham Atkinson 12 in 18 plus many others chipping in.
Colin unfortunately had a bad injury and had to retire early the following season.
One more thing. I was at my Grans house a good few years later and she had a co op insurance policy. The insurance man came to the door once a month to collect the money. Imagine my surprise when I opened the door and it was Colin in a suit, I had only seen him in a kit before. Had a nice chat with him for 5 minutes or so, lovely man.
RIP Colin and thanks for the really fond memories.

QUOTE OF THE DAY

“He’s with us all the way. His shirt’s up in every changing room, home and away. We reference him all the time, and we should do because of his career, his journey. His journey before us, his journey with us, was amazing … so, he’s with us, and he would have enjoyed that performance” – Chris Wilder takes a moment to remember his former player George Baldock, who died in October at the age of 31, after Sheffield United secured their place in the Championship playoff final with a 6-0 aggregate victory over Bristol City.
