Seeing as we have an ex-player thread, thought it may be of interest to have an ex-manager thread.

Liam Manning - Bristol City head coach

KR - Salford City manager

Micheal Appleton - Manchester United Loan Manager (Following spells with Lincoln Blackpool and Charlton)

Pep Clotet - Trieste mamager (Serie C)

Chris Wilder - Sheffield United manager

Gary Waddock - Assistant manager at Walsall FC

Darren Patterson - No idea, seemingly moved on from the football industry.

Ramon Diaz - Manager of Corinthians in Brazil, after leaving Saudi Arabia.

Graham Rix - Recently left Fareham Town FC and possibly retired aged 66.

Ian Atkins - Scout for Wolverhampton Wanderers

Brian Talbot - Assistant Director of Football Operations at Fulham

If any of this is wrong (or any mod) can update the thread!

Chris Wilder on being interviewed for the Pompey job before he left for Northampton.

[I thought one of the big points at the time was whether he had quit or not to go to Northampton ? So a bit surprised for him to admit he was interviewed by Pompey]

This is a pure guess but what are the chances that following that interview, Wilder being all puffed up by being interviewed a "bigger" club, gave Oxford an ultimatum ("back me or I quit" or something to that effect) and didn't get the answer he wanted so had to jump ship to Northampton?

It was a badly kept secret at the time that he’d gone for the Pompey job.

And someone talked about it on Behind The Badge relatively recently too. Wayne Brown perhaps? Recall there being mention of Wilder being open about it (as it was the end-days of his time here and gotten stale for all involved) and being spotted heading off in his shiny suit!

Not sure if Serie C is regional, but that would be a pretty serious amount of travel. Trieste is closer to Belgrade than much of Italy.

For some reason that corner of Italy is somewhere I've long wanted to visit.
It is regional, though Triestina are the most easterly of the 20 teams in the North section by quite some way. Indeed, the city of Trieste was once (very briefly) part of Yugoslavia.

If you do go, can you please ask Pep what he was thinking with that team selection against Wigan?
