EFL EFL this weekend (7/9/24)

Not a bad game, Barrow had a great shot saved.

Certainly battling if not high quality.

Tbf on the ground. Barrow started from a very poor crumbling non league ground when they came into the EFL. The end terrace was built in the summer they came up which included stabilising the ground.

They've developed the other end and apparently has a decent fan zone (something the Kasstad lacks). But can't develop any more with the commercial/hospitality/Offices and changing rooms in the building behind it.

The 'temporary' stands, whilst they aren't great, increased capacity as required iirc, whilst being speed and cost effective compared to permanent development.

I think they have plans to continue the development.

Astonishing that a side as bad as Swindon are again finding two teams worse than them.

They were in no real danger last season since Sutton and FGR were so awful. Morecambe already look in trouble and we’ve not had five fixtures yet.

Shocking up front from Swindon, Tshimanga missed a sitter, just needed it on target at least.

Swindon equalise with almost the last kick of the game 😡

Over 60 mins with an outfield player in goal for Barrow and Swindon get a last second equaliser. I would still be bitterly disappointed!

FT: 1-1

Tbf to Trevor Kettle's son, I thought he had a good game.
When your dad is Trevor Kettle you have grown up seeing how not to be a referee. All he has to do is do everything his dad didn’t and he will be a good ref.

We can only hope as he seems to be on the fast track up the leagues.
