 EFL promotion & relegation 24/25

What the bloody hell was that header all about from the Charlton defender there šŸ˜‚

Yeah Campbell and Small both look like a lot of fun to watch.

If I’m being harsh though - not much end product from either thus far despite having plenty of the ball.

Very poor quality game again between these two. Not sure if it’s the pressure or the effects of a long season. Charlton at least having a bit of a go at times.

Wondering how Wycombe almost went up automatically, they’ve looked very very average in both legs of this play-off semi-final so far.

It appears they were given a full allocation of over 3,000 but returned at least 1,000 which have been sold to home fans.

That is truly pathetic.

Coupled with the genuinely appalling crowd in the first leg (6,585 - including away fans!) I'm really not sure what is going on there.

Yes, Wycombe are a small club. Yes, they play crap football. But their support was never this bad.

I always regarded them as similar to Yeovil - well supported as a non-league club and, upon promotion to the League, able to hold their own as far from the smallest club - on a par with Lincoln or Mansfield maybe. But those two averaged 3.5k and 2.2k more than Wycombe this season respectively (and without a promotion challenge). Crowds are up in general, Wycombe have stood still - in one of their best ever seasons (best ever?).

And those play-offs crowds are now at Rochdale or Scarborough level - as in, football clubs that have done incredibly well to ever maintain League football.

Embarassing.

Saying that having watched these two play off games maybe they are right to stay away, they are a boring side to watch.

Can’t believe Godden is on 22 goals. I wonder if Oxford are looking to get him

I'm sure (well, hope for their sakes) that nerves have played their part for both teams tonight, because it has been awful. I didn't watch the other semi final, but surely Orient are better than these?
Yep - Wycombe truely aweful, even in extra time can’t muster any attacking pressure

Yeah, weak from the Wycombe keeper. Not sad at all that McCleary (who has had lots of fun goading Oxford fans over recent fixtures) cost his team by missing a sitter at 0-0.

Nathan Jones is utterly mental. If I was a player watching those histrionics on the touchline I’d really struggle to take him seriously.

That was weird from Jones, chill out mate. Charlton fans invading the pitch is tinpot as well.

You would think they had just got promoted to the championship.
I think Orient might have a say in that.

I watched most of both games. Not surprised Wycombe have had such tiny crowds this season. 180 minutes of dross. Zero ambition. Defend deep and hope to nick a goal. Dreadful stuff. Charlton were ok, but I was more impressed with Orient last night. Loads of pace and energy. Wouldn't be surprised to see Orient win at Wembley.

Charlton obviously think they'll beat Orient. Strange overreaction pretty much across the board. I like to see a bit of emotion, but that was very...odd from Jones.

Big difference between us and them.

There best players are all on loan, and will be gone.

Our best players are still with us.
And they had less time in league 1 building the team up to standard.
