Eales

I get the opinion he re-couped most of the £10Mill he put in and has dibs on future sales.
Sold a chunk of his shares to Tiger and now sits on a lottery ticket should OUFC numbers come in..

Spot on. Is there a possibility that his departure pre-empts a managerial change? Not necessarily suggesting Appleton.
Karl Robinson was Eales’ man all along...... Tiger had other “wow” candidates in mind.
Has the ? finally arrived from other investors??

It isn't spot on. DE has/had* a debt secured on certain players that were sold under his ownership and were listed in the relevant documents for the debt. It doesn't relate to future player sales.

*Don't whether the debt has been paid or not obviously.

No accounts (albeit at least 12 months old) have been circulated( so any finacial whizz kids cant check the figures on incomings n outgoings) ...nevermind a date set for shareholders AGM ( so shareholders cant ask questions including those regarding incomings and outgoings, of those who call the shots and make decisions) = back to the old mushroom treatment , kept in the dark and fed s**t, being meted out by the powers that be at OUFC ....as is becoming to be expected ...hey ho

Material Contracts
Lundstram, O'Dowda, Roofe and Johnson ...
*and any other contract, agreement or other arrangement under which payments may be, or become due or payable to the Company in respect of the registration of any football player.
----
If I understand it, until the £4,275,708 of loan notes are paid off, then any remaining instalments on transfer fees (or other payment due) for Lundstram, O'Dowda, Roofe and Johnson get paid into the segregated bank account. Then to cover it more fully, it also includes any other players sold too. The question is, were the transfer fees due on the four players enough to cover the £4million?

Coincidentally, at Sunderland £25 million parachute monies are similarly ringfenced.

With Slippery gone to Solihull Motors at a guess Zak wont be back ... either posting on here, nor earwigging in North stand toilets ?

A number of positives will come out from this, the most notable will be Tiger's ability to now re-build the board and be able to make decisions without the pressures and potential conflict. Firoz will be delighted too.

Thanks for your contribution Darren which will never be fully appreciated by some on here. For those who can’t remember ( or those who choose not to). Appleton went because he saw an opportunity of maybe future management at a premiership club and trebling his wages. Oh and for those who say there was no money a fee of 375k had been agreed for Liam Lindsay and a bid of similar for Christian Doidge in when the Leicester story broke. Some of the latter stuff isn’t great but then again we had a promotion 2 trips to Wembley and a style of play we hadn’t seen in years.

Robinson was Tiger’s man from day 1 Sarge. Eales wanted Bellamy and before that Lampard but we ended up with Clotet.

Robinson was the ‘wow’ manager Tiger said. He didn’t mean it in a way that fans would think wow though but more the fact club staff would be wowed by how hard he works and his passion. Something that has turned out to be correct by the way.

Eales turned this club around and under his ownership and his money he put a team together that actually created excitement in the crowd.

I think some people should prehaps show the man a bit more respect.

This is bad news but only one greedy tosser to blame ( the one who holds the club to ransom with the ground) he will never sell as the land is worth more than the ground, time for us to find a new home. DE would of stayed longer if FK would of sold

It wasn't me who posted Robinson wasn't Tiger's choice in this thread @DenisSmithsWig .... though cheers for putting the retrospective facts re which chairman wanted which management/ head coach candidate (s), for those on here with selective memories of less than 12 months ago

The charge against the club, or more precisely Oxford United Football Club Limited, is still outstanding according to company records. This charge is held by Ensco 1070 (sole director: Darryl Eales)
Ensco also hold 239,027 shares in the company. + Another 914,515 and 97,485 5.25% preferential shares.
Oxford Investment Holdings Pte. (Tiger) hold 2,300,000 ordinary shares + 914,515 5.25% preference shares

I liked Eales when he came in.He Apps and Ashton slowly turned this club around.

He had two good years and the tour abroad was brilliant.

However when it all started to go wrong for him personally the first year in div 1, he stopped talking to the fans and I believe he would have been remembered really well if he had taken the Satori/Donald deal when we still going well.

He sold out to Tiger for the extra few quid and I believe that was a mistake, not for him but the club.He always said he would put the club first and he reneged on this

Ultimately he was chairman when we got promoted and had two trips to Wembley so history will show his tenure was successful.

His greatest mistake was buying a hotdog and a pint for the fans, which bizarrely for whatever reason led to widespread and lifelong condemnation.

For god sake man, they were TERRIBLE hot dogs! No matter how great the investment, how much better the facilities or how improved we are four years later, it’s all overshadowed by his choice of second rate fast food.....there wasn’t even a vegetarian option. Glad to see the back of him.

P.S Thanks Darryl. Very under appreciated towards the end. Left us in a much better state than he found us and his heart was generally very much in the right place
