What are the chances of the Club or OxVox setting up a drive in 'Cinema' for fans to watch the play off matches (certainly the play off final IF we get there). We can all be decked out in Yellow and Blue in the safety of our own cars.

Zero. Uncle F won't allow it, and not Will OCC anywhere else

We can all help control the virus if we all stay alert. This means you must:

  • stay at home as much as possible
  • work from home if you can
  • limit contact with other people
  • keep your distance if you go out (2 metres apart where possible)
  • wash your hands regularly
Do not leave home if you or anyone in your household has symptoms.

As before, you cannot:

  • visit friends and family inside their homes (unless you are in a support bubble from 13 June) or for other limited circumstances set out in law
  • stay away from your home or your support bubble household overnight - including holidays - except for in a limited set of circumstances, such as for work purposes
  • exercise in an indoor sports court, gym or leisure centre, or go swimming in a public pool
  • use an outdoor gym or playground
  • gather outdoors in a group of more than six (unless exclusively with members of your own household or support bubble)

Drive in cinemas are now open to public. Latest government briefing.

Doubt it would be allowed, danger of us all getting too close when we go nuts celebrating ;)

Good idea though.

Some problems that would have to be overcome, off the top of my head:

To show it as a public performance would require permission from the broadcaster
An event of this size and nature would require permission from the OCC
There would have to be enough facilities, marshalling etc. which would depend on the expected size of the crowd

Someone must be able to make up a joke about them using 6 car parking spaces behind The White Horse and a projector screen..

Rules:
-Away from Kassam. Anyone know a friendly farmer near WaterEaton
-Designated Driver
-Social Distancing at Portaloos or use old milk bottles

If there is no 'drive in' for the playoff games, is there any mileage in setting up a virtual pub on Zoom for half an hour before the games and another half hour afterwards to natter about how it might go and then how it went?

It might make it a bit more of an occasion and would also be a chance for the less retiring forum members to meet each other? You'll have to supply the booze yourself, sorry!

I suspect the pubs around some of us exiles won't be showing it - and sitting 2m away from everyone else would just be weird anyway. But it was just an idea...
