I assume you haven't seen how the Islamic terrorts groups they fund operate. They arent stupid but they believe in martyrdom nukes only really work in the hands of people that domt want to die themselves.
 
If Iran get nuclear weapons then there would be a Middle East solution very quickly........ just hope we are upwind of it because they would turn each other to glass and the US would take out the leftovers........... unless it was Israel.

Maybe its not a bad thing.........

Well Hehseth not Trump ( but part of the increasingly fractured administration)

The first time since WW2, there will be death by firing squad streamed live in public!!

I suspect that legal challenges will stop this happening ( live streaming). Does Hegseth ( Trump) think that this will win lots of votes prior to the mid term elections?

kind of makes you laugh at these MAGA types who are concerned about Mamdani implanting sharia law, doesn’t it.
 
He’s really sunk to new depths by ordering a public execution.
Suspending the war to achieve what exactly? Mid term elections on his mind.
The republicans are surely going to lose in 2028 and deservedly so.

thing is he is not really "Suspending the war" - just not doing major attacks. the war, or whatever they are referring to it as now - minor disagreement maybe - is still very much ongoing. And despite what he has claimed, the ships passing through the straights of hormuz are at less than 10% of previous level.

Unfortunately he’s always had a capacity to poke his nose in where it’s not wanted. USA have also started more wars than other countries and that looks set to carry on under Trump.
Oh for sensible presidents like Reagan, Carter and Obama.
 
The reality is that Trump has absolutely no control over the Iran war. Iran still control the Straight of Hormuz and Yemeni Houthis continue to disrupt shipping through the Red Sea.

All the bombing, the posturing and the threats have achieved nothing. We have approximately 10,000 Iranians/Lebanese and others across the region killed (the vast majority being civilians). 21 US service personnel, 100 Israeli soldiers.

And for what? Regional instability and killing the global economy?

Rather than pausing this bullshit war, Trump should walk away and let the UN and more respected world leaders enter into discussions across the region to bring a resolution to this.

But whilst Netanyahu is still pulling the strings in Israel and Trump is too dumb to know he's being played, we'll keep on going until everything collapses.

Yes and they were not all from the same party.
 
I dont see the problem with the firing squad. It is by far the execution method with the lowest messup rate and is quick it is the therefore is the most humane. Given the US have capital punishment justice has to be done and be seen to be done.

If people dont want to watch it dont watch it.

For the avoidance of doubt i am not watching it but millions throughout the world go to public executions

Obama expanded the wars in Afghanistan, and Iraq (by massive surge in troop numbers and attacks). He started wars is Syria and Lybia. And undertook military operations in Pakistan, Yemen and Somalia. Dont get me wrong i liked they guy. But don't be under the impression that he was anything other than an American President rightly using his position and Americas biggest assets which are its military and ecconomic might to act in the American interest.

That's debatable Iran was arming Houthis and Hezbollah. Accross Europe govenments have claimed Iran is a destabilising force that has massacered tens thousands of their own people for wanting democracy and exporting terror throughout the world.See the countless recent cases in our own country. It supplied weaponry to Russia to attack Ukraine.
Regime change is in Americas interest and the regions. However the way the americans have tried to do it without a realistic plan has been poor.

Odd thing to say.

I'm unlikely to watch anthing and burning at the stake is much less humane than firing squad. I was listening to a victim who supported being able to view the execution himself with a censored version being available to the public.

As i say if a country wishes to have the death penalty we shouldn't sugar coat it and hide from view. It should be available unadulterated as as i say justice has to be done and seen to be done. Hence i also support live streaming trials too.
