They have Trump well and truly over a barrel.

Agree with your last point, but as for having him over a barrel, I think the Iranians are playing a dangerous game, we all know Trump is unhinged, I don’t think it would take much for him to say f**k it and drop bomb after bomb if they continue to embarrass him.
 
It's estimated that US/Israel dropped 30,000 bombs on Iran at a cost of tens of billions of dollars.

And it achieved nothing.

Iran has no Navy? So what? A few lightweight attack crafts and mines mean that they still control the Strait of Hormuz and there's nothing the US can do about it.

Iran has no airforce? So what? Drones and long range weapons means that they don't need any planes to be able to attack the region at will.

All their leaders are dead? Clearly not. The only success the US had was in the very first wave of attacks which took our some key Iranians, including the Supreme Leader. But since then, they've barely laid a glove on those at the top with some openly being recorded in public knowing that they can't be touched.

The only thing left for Trump is hitting civilians infrastructure, using chemical weapons or going Nuclear. All of which constitutes war crimes and would also see China stepping into the ring, and that doesn't end well for any of us.

Trump has his issues but even he isn't so unhinged to escalate this again.

Netanyahu is another matter!

The Israeli Govt were always going to try to scupper this deal and it looks they may be succeeding.

Apparently they still have 75% of their long range misiles despite the US and Israel targeting the launch sites. They just keep them burried underground.
