Tony Obi, the superstar of the reserves. Always enjoyed watching the odd reserve game around then. I remember Obi tearing apart the Arsenal defence in a Football Combination game.

Wow, what fantastic footage, not seen that before. Good to see Roy Burton in the sticks. Was that a young Briggs as well?

But how the hell did that blade only get a yellow for a full length diving handball on the line stopping a goal? Unreal ?
 
I think Sheff. Utd were top and we were second at the start of 1979-80 so the game was given top billing on MOTD despite it
being a third division game. I was allowed to stay up late to watch it.

Gary Briggs chopped the striker down for the pen and then scored the OG.

Roy showing his a**e off in goal.

I also noticed Joe Cooke in the clip playing up front with Paul Berry.

Great kit - Admiral were the manufacturers that season.
