I spent the longest six months of my life working in Saudi Arabia. Everything you have ever heard about place is true- and more. It's an awful country. There is only one reason Des is doing this -£££. That's not criticism btw- he'll be able to pick and choose his jobs after this, so good luck to him.
Indeed. My point was more about why I didn’t ever think he’d go straight to another League One club after he left here.

I think he’ll head off to somewhere like the US next, once he’s trousered a massive salary from his current gig.

I agree, he’s used to managing outside Europe and I’m sure the jobs come with less pressure and scrutiny than here

Des has led Al-Kholood to their first-ever King's Cup Final in their history after a 2-2 draw against Al Ittihad that led to a 5-4 win on penalties. They'll play Al Hilal in the final.

League form hasn't been great. Of the 26 matches, they've won eight, drawn one and lost 17 to leave them 14th of 18 although six points clear of the relegation spots with eight matches to play.

Alas, the game ended in defeat for Al-Kholood. They were went down 2-1 despite taking the lead against Al-Hilal.

Al-Hilal are second in the Saudi Pro League having not lost a game all season if that adds any context to the match.

Is Al-Hilal the team Cristiano Ronaldo plays for and had a major tantrum this season?

When has the self loving, self entitled pre Madonna not had a tantrum in a season 😂
You're looking for Prima Donna, a term that comes from Italian opera (the idea that the Prima Donna, or first lady, is going to be a bit prissy and up herself). Pre Madonna just refers to when music was better

Ah, you mean Lady Madonna.

Was listening to a podcast last week in which they noted that Chubby Checker's name was a deliberate nod to Fats Domino - had never heard that before!
Were they on Chess Records?

He'll be having a major tantrum after the goal they conceded against Al Nassr in the title decider.
In the 98th minute too!
Keeper's had a mare!

Give Ronaldo his due, his fire for the game, to achieve and win things is remarkable considering he is on an incredibly highly paid retirement jaunt, is already extremely rich and has a fantastic legacy that this is going to make no difference to. He has the mentality of a very limited lower league journeyman who has somehow made a career out of football despite not being much better than a non league player, yet has the ability of an all time great, its a pretty rare combination

Quite possibly the first time Ronaldo has been compared to Jefferson Louis.
