Is this the Brian Murphy that has only managed Rochdale and recently been (assistant) coach at Leicester who have just had their worst season ever?
We love him within the boundaries of the shire but that means little elsewhere. I could see him going to the Aussie league or maybe the states but I think that would possibly bring the curtain down permanently on a career on these shores.Very unlucky as he made the final 3 for both jobs. You’d probably consider both clubs bigger than us too.
Be interesting to see what he does next.
Surprised he’s not looked at Europe like Lee Johnson did.
Didn’t Vaulks mention something in this week’s The Dub about there needing a change of manager. I wonder why apart from the 15 game no win time.I guess it depends on reputation within the game too?
Doesn’t always translate to men’s football though.Oh the BBM who is regarded as one of the best young coaches in the game. Was key in the Man City Youth setup for three years before taking a step into top flight coaching at a PL club?
I mean could well have been during the interview Des thought 'not for me' about any of these. Just because he applied/was approached, doesn't mean he would take the job when they get down to the nitty gritty of it all.Very unlucky as he made the final 3 for both jobs. You’d probably consider both clubs bigger than us too.

Wasn't it something to do with the fact that Rowett has plans for every game - more so than Des (presumably).Didn’t Vaulks mention something in this week’s The Dub about there needing a change of manager. I wonder why apart from the 15 game no win time.
Cardiff City have confirmed the departure of Aaron Ramsey, with the midfielder set to move to Mexico.Looks like Luke Williams is back at Notts County.
Not sure if Cardiff is still vacant as Ramsay seems to be caretaker
