Manager/Coach Derry the disruption?

...and straight to bed without a story too
I'm sorry but are we trying to run a football club or a prison camp here? Any talk of staff going 'straight to bed without a story' is way out of order in my book. This is not the dark ages. Two stories a night is commonplace in a lot of clubs, and I've even heard of a championship club where the kit man gets a biscuit and a glass of warm milk. If bedtime stories are suddenly off the table, we seriously need to think about where we are heading as a club. Rant over.

I have no particular views about Derry and what he does/doesn’t contribute. I will speculate about the way he was recruited; was it as a consequence of an exhaustive interview process to establish what he might contribute, what his role will be, what his qualities are, where he needs to improve? Probably not. Was it because he is a ‘football man’ and found himself at a loose end - probably. In what other walk of life is recruitment as lax and self-serving as professional(so-called) football?
