I've only read the link, and the only quote I could see from Kitson was this:

Former Reading striker Dave Kitson told the station that Sterling had incited "jealousy" by exhibiting a luxury lifestyle on his social media.
Kitson added that there was "no excuse whatsoever" for any abuse.

I can't see any racism there?

@Marked Ox didnt say Kitson's comment was racist? More Kitson not condemning it.

It's as in, some people bring it upon themselves.
Given the context he's have better off keeping his mouth shut. But then he can't do that can he.

Keep up - it's Kitson - everything he says is bad because he once stole Callum O'dowdas flu jab (or something like that).

I did listen to him for a bit on TalkShoite the other day. I'd forgotten how honest he was when he was talking about drug abuse - better than Dean Saunders ramblings.

Heard him a few times on Talksport and think he is quite good. Certainly doesn’t spout the generic rubbish like Saunders, Jim White etc.

Think he talks sense more often than not, clearly doesn’t give a fig if he pisses anyone off.

Has a column in the sun now, a lot of rehashing his old secret footballer stuff but tying it to whatever has happened in the big story that week tenuously.

You do wonder how a player who, in top flight football terms, had a mediocre career can keep trying to flog himself as an insider to the glamorous world of elite football. The secret footballer stuff only worked till it became well known who the player was.

He has to try and be controversial to give himself a name, he is basically a football league Piers Morgan.
