This is so much better. The Czech's are nothing special but this is how people, myself included, have been crying out for us to play. No surprise that Grealish has made a difference and nice to see Saka playing so well too.

Saka and Grealish doing decently going forwards. Our defence is creaking like an unoiled door in a hurricane though - that'll be where it all goes horribly wrong this tournament.

We look so much better going forwards than the first two games. More chances in that 45 minutes than the previous 180.

It's not just the new personnel (though Saka and Grealish have both been good) - it's just a much better balanced set up. Pace on both flanks, and a midfield trio of a defensive guy, a box-to-box guy and a creative guy.

Course the counter to that is that we've looked a little sketchier defensively, and we can't blame all of that on Maguire. That's the price you pay for not playing quite such a dull lineup....but it seems worth it for me.

Can you imagine Oxford playing this England team? Angry Crabs v leisurely Crabs, 80% of the game would be defences playing the ball square in their own half!

When Saka turned and ran half the pitch before the goal, you could just feel the fury coming off the dugout.

“No! Take your time! PASS IT BACK TO KALVIN!”

Impressed with Saka - so brave and positive on the ball for a kid on such a big occasion. He is driving us forward, which is putting Grealish (who has been good too) and Sterling closer to Kane - who in turn is so much better and more involved.

The extra attacking intent comes at the cost of exposing our wafer-thin defence though. Shaw is an experienced pro and effective going forward, but his ability to stop a cross is dire. Maguire, Stones and Pickford all have a howler in them too.
