IM dissapointed that the Cricket World cup finals England are not being shown live on terrestrial television ..... C4 have a late night highlights show and thats about it on mainstream TV

Yep, but that is the way Cricket has gone, domestic or national level, in this country. The incompetence of the domestic cricket authorities (and now the international authorities) has, imo, hurt the game and caused a degree of loss of public interest in it.
