CWC 19 Australia v West Indies

and another catch for Cottrell ( less spectacular but they all count)

277-8 ...3 overs left

288 Oz all out ... with an over to spare

see how the Windies resurgence is progressing when they go into bat

hope the Umpires are body searching the two cheats for sandpaper before the go out to bowl

i do trust the umpires are being vigilant with Oz bowling, esp for 'tampering', as Windies have lost two wickets in six overs

WI 36-2 currently ... Lewis and Gayle both gone cheaply

Oz slowing down the bowling

WI 99-2 after 19 overs

Mr Holding rightly scathing about Andre Russel's out shot, puts the convicts ahead.

252-8 .... 4 overs to go ...doable for WI but will need a grandstand, high scoring finish to beat the sandpaper squad

Ah poo. Aussies have done well here. Recovered well and have some very classy, effective bowlers. There aren’t any quicker Cummins and Starc.

looks like the cheats have got a win ...into the final over with WI 259-9
booooooooooooooooooooo

273-9 .... sandpaper squad win by 15 runs .... spirited batting by WI but not quite good enough for Starc with a fifer (for 46)

West Indies failed today with there poor shot selections, and basically gave there wickets away! Australia got away with that one today. An England India would of punished them imo. Difficult to pick a team that look like champions atm. India have only played the one game, and South Africa are no great shakes. Plenty of twists and turns to come. I do fancy New Zealand as an outsider.

Bloody Aussies.....never know when they're beaten.

Still, after a bit of a slow start - that's been a run of cracking matches over the past few days (South Africa - India excepted).

Australia - India on Sunday should be fun. Give us a bit more insight into who might be favourites here......

Great recovery from Australia.
Had Smith been out early it would have just about been game over.
But they never give up and made a decent score in the end.
Starc and Cummins are world class quick bowlers

The Windies showed their complete naivety today. Lots of talent, but they kind of blew themselves out when the Aussies were 5 down and allowed a chink of light that a mile was taken from. Coulter-Nile's knock really took the game from them.

I wonder if a street smart team will watch today and think, ride the initial storm and from overs 30 onwards you can score big on the Windies. They don't have a spinner, the fielding is ok but when made to work, they wilt.

However, iIf they catch fire though, they could win it all.

And finally. The Umpire's were dreadful today. Complete and utter rot.
