Those researchers found that counties that don’t require wearing masks in public are averaging COVID-19 death rates double or more compared with those that instituted mandates.

Whilst other factors will be involved, it does seem to back up face masks are beneficial.

60666 people in Leicestershire have tested positive - up from 60,153 (increase 513).
27458 (increase of 234) were within the Leicester City Council area.
33,208 (increase of 279) cases were reported in the County.

UHL reported 1 death.
The death occurred on ; 29th December (1).
Total UHL death's stands at 918.

Vaccination data is now released daily. The daily figures are the reported date not the date the vaccination actually took place.

27k in the city is about 10% of the population correct? So still nowhere near herd immunity numbers, if it even would have worked?

Across the East Mids they reckon 1 in 8 have antibodies so a fair way to go yet.
