Dido Hardings own report shows that at the beginning of September c 62,000 people were being tested on average per day.According to BBC News this evening tests per day are nearer 260,000, with capacity just above that figure.
We've seen in recent days that capacity is a red herring. What's the point of having the capacity to take 260,000 swabs a day if you can only test c 62,000 of them?
