different generation but wasnt Ivan Lendl not liked much ( by the majority of English/ British tennis followers)?

dunno why that was, it just seemed no-one took to him ( Lendl)
Probably as he was a bit robotic and Ivan Drago compared to the Rocky Balboa of McEnroe

I know he made a comment about not liking grass courts, and that grass should only be used for feeding cows. With Wimbledon being played on grass, that's not a great way to endear yourself to British tennis fans.

The reality of it was that he was just shit on grass.

blimey! .... yep, those comments about grasscourts (Wimbledon) wouldntve done him any favours in the UK

...that said, wasn't he (Lendl) coaching Murray when Murray won at least one, if not both(?) of his Wimbledon titles?

Tennis superstars apart, and more important people to think about. Having spent a day with my Covid leper last Friday, and breathing her toxic fumes (I love her with all my heart) daily LFT's and a final PCR this morning confirm that my personal negativity serves to protect me from the virus. Bullet dodger or what!?
Joking apart, I am amazed that I haven't caught it but have learned that there are numerous other cases where people have managed to evade contraction without trying.
Tomorrow I will go to Tesco's and catch it from a bystander as a consequence of being a smug (fingers still crossed) Bastard!

will this hokey cokey (out- in - out... but no shaking about, yet) down under, surrounding the Aussie tennis grand slam status tournament, put a spotlight on 'elite sport persons' and their status vaccine wise, along with their eligibility to take part in International competitions?
or will it remain a solely Aussie example of shithousing at government level?

Getting back to numbers..............

Poorly folk.
35-40 patients per day being admitted.
268 positive inpatients
7 on mechanical ventilation.

Cases.
Peaked at 1200 a day locally now dropping as fast as it rose.

Sorry, couldn`t find my last numbers post and it takes a while to get back up to speed!
