12,000 at Ascot .... guess nothing was learnt from Cheltenham last year?
Wimbledon finals will have full houses!! 15,000 in a relatively confined space.
Euro semi's and final 45,000.
British grand prix will almost certainly be allowed 140,000!!

So are you saying you don't want test events and just go for it blindly once we are out of lockdown, without understanding what the consequences of that maybe?

Didn't say anything of the kind. Just stating facts as read.

Andrew Neil is fantastic! It doesn’t matter what party you belong to, he runs rings all of them.

It’s probably similar to walking in to a raging inferno. He grills them all, nobody does it better!

Looking at case numbers the India decision could be the twats biggest failure yet. Absolutely mad how contagious it is.

Still, that would have been a belter of a photo op with Modi. So swings and roundabouts.

Strategy & planning are doing their thing for a third wave of hospitalisations with predictions looking at around August 1st - 7th.

Told worst-case scenario is a maximum 50% of second wave hospitalisations but far fewer ITU cases.

However, if the vaccine rollout continues at the current pace those plans might well end up being an over-egged omlette..... but they have to be done.

On the bright side we aren`t looking at leasing mass casualty facilities. :D

If you are trying to get a reaction from me, then I’m afraid you won’t get one.

I suggest you “gofish”elsewhere.
I always throw the small ones back. Come back if/when you grow up. You have the right to be a t**t, with rights come responsibilities, ask a grown up to clarify the meaning of responsibilities

65,000 were at Cheltenham last year. No attendance allowed this year.

12,000 is a relatively small number in the grand scheme of things and is one of many test events to gather data and assess safety protocols.

Got to follow the science. No other way of easing out of lockdown sensibly unless you just want someone to flick a switch.

Did anyone watch Together on BBC2 tonight, with James McAvoy and Sharon Horgan?

There was a lot of general COVID anger and government bashing written into it that wasn't shown in the trailers. It's such a good one-off TV film, I'd recommend it thoroughly.
