They’ve already started doing this in Italy, but expect Champions League and Europa League fixtures, and of course the Premier League, to be a hell of a lot more stubborn when they’re told there isn’t an alternative to doing the same. I don’t think they’ll have a choice but to do it soon enough but they will fight until the bitter end to protect their cash cows. Not looking comfortable for the Euros either, is it? Especially since they’ve spread it across the entire continent rather than having a single host nation. I think there’s an awkward conversation or two waiting to be had regarding that.

Do quite like the idea of Liverpool being denied their first PL title due to them having to give up on being able to complete the season. Fingers crossed City keep it mathematically possible to catch them in the meantime. I think I would burst.
