This is where VAR annoys me. No one appealed that. No one even noticed.


Yet he's a shoelace offside and the neutral is robbed of a great moment. I hate VAR.

That’s not truly offside- offside should be the whole player a foot or so ahead, not a margin too small for the human eye to detect, that gives no advantage to the attackers. The problem here isn’t really VAR itself, it’s the overly pedantic way it’s used.

Has the person in charge of stopping the footage to judge the exact moment of the offside got it spot on? There has to be an element of doubt so how can we be sure he's not inside? It's too close to call, or it should be!
