Clotet our for goodness sake

A bit too late. It should have happened before Xmas so that a new manager had the time in the window to assess and recruit. However Eeles has finally realised his mistake and rectified it.

It had to be done, after Saturdays woeful performance there was no other choice

Really!
This won't have been an overnight decision and it would take time to get the right man to replace Pep, this process would of started a while ago probably before Xmas and you could tell Pep has been under pressure recently, players are not only got in by the manager we still have a recruitment team identifying the right players for the clubs future as recent signings have indicated, the new manager and players will still have to take this club forward, do they go for broke and try to get in the playoffs this season.

But how many of the overseas players did our recruitment team recruit or identify

Let's not get carried away with play off talk plz, we are miles away...will need to win 7 or 8 in a row and then still maintain the form and likely need win around 14 of the remaining games and that aint going to happen.

Possibly, but it might be an indication of the clubs ambition this season.

Fantastic, finally got rid of that awful manager,. Should have been done months ago,.

His manager record is awful. He ripped up a team that was flying and brought in old has beens.

Glad Eales has finally atoned for his mistake.

Like Phil Edwards who was MOM Saturday.
Phil Edwards was an exception and yes we should have kept him but we didn’t we recruited Richardino ( yes a decent LB ) Mousinho and Williams and Tiendalli a very old defensive option Henry over 30 midfielder so I think MAPP’s module of youth and further development has been shot to pieces.
CLotet going hopefully means we may carry on with MAPP’s module

You do know who targeted Mousinho and Williams ? they were MA targets.

I am just hoping that now Clotet has gone, we will never see any of the following in an OUFC shirt ever again.

Each of them up with the very worst in the last 15 years:

1. Tiendalli: way, way, way past his best. Will never get another professional contact after OUFC.
2. Xemi: nice enough first touch, but the acceleration of a Reliant Robin (look it up if you don’t know) and just about as robust.
3. GvK- if only his OUFC career had been like the first 10 minutes (which did start with a mis control). Appeared to wear trainers rather than boots with real studs.
4. Mehmeti- appeared confused in the few times I saw him. Nothing to suggest he was anywhere near L1 level.

The only one he brought in that was even remotely good enough was Ricardinho.

Overall, the Golden Turkey Award goes to Tiendalli. His ‘performances’ at Fleetwood and Port Vale were right up there with the various assorted hapless and hopeless loanees we used to get in the Conference.

I thought Tiendalli played well on Saturday. But then again, what do I know? You clearly know best.
