Hi Everyone.

A bit of self promotion here from a fellow yellow. I have just self published my first Children's Picture book titled 'Timothy Mean and the Time Machine'

It is available in paperback and Kindle on Amazon here https://buff.ly/2MCbMhQ

Some illustrations from the book are on my web site www.williamaeford.com

If anyone is nice enough to purchase it, I would really appreciate a review on Amazon or Goodreads. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/43617901-timothy-mean-and-the-time-machine?from_search=true

Will.

Yes the best of luck brassmonkey.
Presumably you will sell most of the books via Amazon?
Thanks Foley. For now yes but am working on getting into other distributors away from Amazons grasp. Im trying to get the book into libraries and schools. Its a totally new industry for me to learn.

Good luck
Who did you approach to get it published - and how did you get on with the different companies - who are the best to approach??

Thanks Mooro. I wrote the book years ago and tried several book agents at the time but didn't get success. I decided last year to self publish and see what happens. I have 2 or 3 more children's books nearly finished so will try and land myself an agent going forward.

Is that not expensive doing it that way?

I remember reading The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time, and Oxford based author Mark Haddon managed to get this in to it.

There is not a university in our town, which is Swindon, because it is a small place ... Father wants to move to a different town as well. He sometimes says things like, 'We've got to get out of this town, kiddo.' And sometimes he says, 'Swindon's the a*****e of the world.'
