U's Team Up With Charlton To Help Fight Prostate Cancer

Oxford United are teaming up with hosts Charlton Athletic when the teams meet at the Valley next month to help save lives with a simple blood test available to fans of both teams.

Very sensible thing to do for men. And not just old men. I had suspected prostate cancer but test said no. Further test confirmed that I was negative.

I know a man, an OUFC fan, whose life was saved by catching this cancer early.

I'll echo the sentiments, if you are going, see about getting this done. It'll take practically no time. I have this test done every year as part of my company's yearly health checks, one of the fellas I work with ended up having an early diagnosis of a problem purely from taking one of these tests.

I have no less than 5 friends who have all recovered from prostate cancer after fairly early diagnosis. The blood test is easy and is not 100% accurate but is a good starting point
