Further to our recent Committee Meeting, and particularly in relation to the status of Stewart Donald as a co-opted committee member, we would like to advise members as follows:
Due to the completion of the purchase of AFC Sunderland by Stewart, it was felt by the committee, and agreed by Stewart, that there could be a potential conflict of interest if Stewart were a co-opted member of the OxVox Committee. With this in mind we wish to inform members that we have decided not to accept Stewart as a co-opted member of the committee.
Stewart remains a friend of the club and a friend of OxVox, and while wishing him well with his new venture at Sunderland, we look forward to taking six points from them next season!
