Rotherham are not messing about, are they? That's four senior, regular League One performers they've signed already.

They're going to be a serious contender in League One next season. Good thing we don't have to worry about that!

Such a great feeling that we wont be involved in that promotion battle from L1. Obviously our focus will be on The Championship (love those two words!!!!) but I will be keeping an eye on L1 to see how that unfolds too - next season looks fascinating everywhere!

Apart from League Two. League Two is now a haven for fairly unexciting, mostly northern clubs with minimal narratives of interest across the whole division.

Enjoy yourselves, Scummers! :ROFLMAO:

It is what Evans tends to do- he always seems to know what he wants, and signs players early.
L1 will be very interesting next year. I wonder whether Barnsley ( losing 3 key players), Blackpool, Peterborough may not be in.the Top 6.
Charlton and Reading have a lot to make up to be challenging ( Charlton improved under Jones but hardly had play off form)

Rotherham are clearly taking their status as yo-yo club very seriously.

They're putting together an all-star squad of players that have torn up League One and/or gotten promoted from that level.......the majority of whom have then been discarded and/or been ineffective in the second tier!

They also have Steve Evans as manager. I'm glad we don't have to play them next season.

Luke Ayling signs for Middlesborough

Think this thread is showing me that I'm going to be on a sharp learning curve this summer!

Sean Raggett signs for Rotherham, and I'm thinking "That's a solid signing, he'll do a job for them"

Luke Ayling signs for Middlesborough, and I'm thinking "Who??"
(Wikipedia tells me that he's played 500 games, most of them at Championship and Premier League level.....but he's never been in the same league as us, so I've never paid any attention!)

He has a pub named for him in Leeds, such is his standing there. When we play them, should be straightforward to arrange a visit.

Plymouth sign Nathanael Ogbeta from Swansea City. Ogbeta played for Bolton whilst on loan in the L1 play-off final against Oxford Utd.

I’m not sure any of the Bolton players actually ‘played’ in the final. He might have been on the pitch though.

Thought he was the one Bolton player that occasionally got the ball in some space in some somewhat dangerous positions.

He was rubbish, though, and did absolutely nothing with it - so it was probably part of Des' grand design that if we were going to concede some space, give it to Ogbeta!

Not the most threatening signing from Plymouth, that one.

I mean you could say that no Bolton player actually did anything dangerous when they got the ball considering they didn’t even manage a shot on target!
