Some good clients of mine are avid saints fans and had a meeting with them earlier in the week. I nearly spat out my drink as they said “we stopped going around Xmas, the premier league is boring, I’m quite looking forward going again in the championship”. They aren’t the first and won’t be the last but it absolutely fries my skull, especially for a club that’s sunken much lower in its history and would’ve wailed about it at the time.

You should always aspire to be at the highest level possible and take every opportunity to climb. Just like you should always aim to win every game whatever your chosen method is. I will never understand anyone who says they don’t want to go up for fear of coming back down or not wanting to stay up for fear of another tough ride. Get a grip, enjoy it, as one day you might be Bury or Macclesfield. Especially if you can’t even file your sodding accounts.
Looking at the EPL table, the bottom three have won 10 games between them. Not surprised they got fed up by Christmas. Although we've had matches moved, it's mostly been to 12:30 Saturday kick-offs which I can mostly get there and back from just by leaving earlier. Rather than being stuck far away for an evening kick-off with no transport links home.
